Low Carb Moussaka

This is a very tasteful dish for all you people who don’t want to eat too much carbs. I always make some extra so I can eat that the next day for lunch.

Grocery bag (4 persons):

3 egg plants
14 oz. Minced meat
2 chili peppers
2 onions
5 oz. Mushrooms
1 package riddled tomatoes
4 cloves of garlic
2 spoons Italian herbs
Dash of milk
2 eggs
5 oz. Grated cheese

Directions:

  • Slice the eggplants and put them for 5 minutes in boiled water, then pour them off.
  • Fry onions, peppers and garlic, add the minced meat, Italian herbs and the mushrooms. When the meat is done add the tomatoes.
  • Make a sauce of the eggs, milk and cheese.
  • Fill a baking dish first with a layer of the tomato/meat blend, then a layer of eggplants, again the tomato/meat blend, layer of eggplants and at last the sauce of eggs, milk and cheese.
  • Put in in the oven for about 25 minutes on 392 degrees Fahrenheit/200 degrees Celsius.
