Gazelle Freestyle Review | Low Impact Exercise Glider

Gazelle FreestyleYou probably have seen the infomercial of the Gazelle Freestyle with Tony Little. I normally only have to laugh with most of these products especially when he is in it but I have to say the Gazelle Freestyle is really a nifty piece of equipment.

It is not really an elliptical but an exercise glider or air glider. They stripped of all the expensive and breakable parts you have on an elliptical and you are left with a sturdy, durable and cheap exercise machine.

One of the best features is the patented dual action split suspension and gives you a freestyle range of motion. It’s range of motion and rhythm is up to you unlike a real elliptical machine which has a fixed stride length. Through this free range of motion you can also train your flexibility.

I had a lot of fun using the Gazelle Freestyle for the reason that I had so much freedom in the way I could exercise. You can lean forward to work and tone your shoulders, chest and arms or lean backward to train your back, waist and arms. It gives you a total body workout and improves you cardiovascular system and gently stretch you hips, back and legs.

The Gazelle is made of a steel frame has extra width foot paddles, foamed handlebars and a thumb pulse monitor for tracking heart rate. It is a little heavy when you want to fold and store it but this makes it also very stable when you use it.

You can do a total of 10 different exercises and combine aerobic and resistance training in one simple low impact workout. Included is a personal training DVD with nobody less then Tony Little himself and an eating plan book.

You also can choose the Gazelle Freestyle Plus version which has power pistons that provide you with 3 resistance levels, 17 exercises and sturdy steel tubing.

Other Features Of The Gazelle Freestyle:

  • Provides a low-impact workout
  • Patented split suspension
  • Foldable for easy storage
  • Water bottle plus holder
  • Console featuring: time elapsed, speed, distance, calories burned, heart rate
  • For all ages and fitness levels
  • Supports up to 300 pounds
