Exercise Lowers The risk Of Colon Cancer
Here is another good reason to get of your lazy bud and start doing some form of exercise in your every day life.
After analyzing decades of data from past studies researchers found that people who did frequent exercises had a 24 percent less change of getting colon cancer then people who did no form of exercise.
Colorectal cancer is the third most common type of cancer in the US and every year more
than 100,000 people in the United States are diagnosed with colon cancer and about 40,000 are diagnosed with rectal cancer. If Americans become more active this means up to 24 percent less cases of colon cancer, or more then 24000 people every year.
This was one of the comprehensive studies to date with the analyses of 54 studies. There were no specific exercises that were more beneficial then others. It could be recreational like jogging outside or on a treadmill machine or using an exercise bike but also work related exercise such as lifting and digging.
Exercise is on top of the list to prevent colon cancer for both men and women.
